Interim President Role. Strategic Planning. Co-led development of HHF's strategic plan alongside senior leadership and board of directors, shaping five topical pillars with up to three strategies each. Guided by a core principle of engaging staff at all levels, facilitated small-group workshops to collaboratively build tactics under each strategy—ensuring foundation-wide sense of ownership and investment. Led tracking and reporting of progress toward benchmarks and timelines for one of the five pillars—“Culture of Philanthropy”—driving transparency, momentum, and accountability across the organization.

Implemented daily wealth capacity screening protocols to identify high-potential patients, pairing with streamlined systems that alerted frontline fundraisers to key opportunities for in-person engagement—from visiting known donors during inpatient stays to making warm introductions to prospects newly admitted. Program also included a heartfelt concierge-style touch: a thoughtful flower delivery process for admitted donors, reinforcing gratitude and care while strengthening philanthropic relationships. Physician Prospect Referrals. Launched physician referral program empowering clinical partners to identify and connect grateful patients with HHF in a timely, mission-aligned way. Through strategic engagement, personalized training, and streamlined referral workflows, HHF's network of more than 130 physician partners became active champions of philanthropy. Program generated over 100 new patient referrals annually, creating a reliable pipeline of potential donors while deepening the partnership between caregivers and the development team. This initiative not only honored the patient-physician bond—it strengthened philanthropic culture across the institution.

Employee Scholarships. Founded and managed a non-nursing employee scholarship program and personally fundraised from and stewarded, individuals, corporations, and foundations to award $1.5M—empowering 300+ employees to pursue degrees, advance their careers at Hoag, and strengthen workforce retention. Authored case-for-support, designed marketing collateral, presented to boards of directors, donors, and Hoag physicians and employees. Developed award policy and process framework.
